Hourly Limousine Service

There are two basic types of limousine service: hourly service and airport transfer service.  All luxury ground transportation service ultimately fits into one of these two categories.  Hourly limousine service is managed at the discretion of the client, and billed hourly. Limousine companies generally charge for a minimum number of hours for town car and limousine rentals, often between two and four hours, depending on the type of vehicle. Nexus applies a two hour minimum for all of our town cars, SUV’s, and stretch limousines. Larger luxury vehicles such as coaches may be subject to four hour minimums.

Hourly client directed assignments can take on a number of different forms.  One of the most common uses for hourly limousine service is executive transportation, when companies have employees visiting Los Angeles from out of town, and require transportation to and from hotels and/or airports to conferences, meetings, or other business functions. It is common for companies to rent and Lincoln Town Car sedan for these occasions.  Town Cars can seat up to three passengers very comfortably, and while they are comfortable and luxurious for the passengers, they are not quite as showy as a stretch limousine. We have found that many corporations prefer not to send their executives to a business event in a stretch limousine, because it can be interpreted as an unnecessary display of  wealth, while a Town Car tends to be seen as tasteful and appropriate. Our Lincoln Town Cars are stocked with bottled water, magazines, mints and gum, and have an extended wheel base which provides more room in the rear than any sedan in its class. In addition, the over-sized trunk provides plenty of room for baggage and other items that the passengers may require.

Another common use of hourly limousine service is metropolitan tours.  All of our chauffeurs undergo a four day training session which takes them through many of the focal points of Los Angeles, from the Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown, to the Hollywood Sign, Beverly Hills, The Venice Boardwalk, Hollywood Blvd., and a myriad of other tourist attractions in Los Angeles. Metropolitan Tours of Los Angeles can be tailored to your specific time constraints and interests. In addition, our chauffeurs have 24 hour dispatch support and GPS standard in each vehicle, which means that clients can make any special requests during their tour that they wish.

Hourly limousine service can also be utilized for shopping, outings, or other events, such as trips to concert or sporting venues. If you are planning on going out to dinner and then to a concert, town car service is second to none. No worries about parking, crowds, or dealing with the hassle of trying to leave the venue after the concert is finished. When you take a town car or a limousine to a concert venue, we can often drop you off right near the entrance to the venue. When the concert is over, simply call your chauffeur, and he or she will pull up your vehicle as close the exit as possible. Some venues allow limousines to pull up right at the exit. Soon you are in the back of a comfortable, quiet luxury vehicle, being whisked away from the crowds and the noise. Once you’ve taken a town car or a limousine out for a night on the town, you’ll never go back to driving yourself.

All of our hourly, client directed assignments include a charge for travel time from our base in Los Angeles to your point of departure. For most locations in Los Angeles, this is 15-30 minutes.  Once you have been picked up, the town car or limousine is your to do whatever you please. Should you decide to take the vehicle to Las Vegas for the evening, that is your prerogative.
